A: How to use Ginza Walk?

1. Click here» to Install the GinzaWalk browser plugin.
2. Follow the installation instructions, and a small button will appear in your browser command/status bar (the 2-minute video below shows the location).
3. When you want your friend to see what you're currenlty looking at online, click the small button to activate GinzaWalk.
4. A GinzaWalk frame at the top of your browser will appear. It contains a "friends link", which you'll need to send to your friend(s) to get started.
5. Your friend will see what you're seeing as you move from site to site, and you'll all see each others' mouse pointing.

A: What is Ginza?

• Ginza is the popular shopping district in Toyoko, much like Rodeo Drive is for Los Angeles, Fifth Ave is for New York, or Champs-des-Élysées is for Paris.
• Ginza is also the name of our cute polar bear helper!

A: Is it safe? Short answer Yes! However, be careful with whom you use Ginza Walk. Only use Ginza Walk with people you know and trust.

A: What browser do I need?

• Internet Explorer 6 and up
• FireFox 1.5 and up

Please note that many other browsers will probably also work. Please let us know if you've successfully tried it out!

A: What is your privacy policy? We, under no circumstances, track, share or sell, any information about you or the pages you visit. Our family and friends are using Ginza Walk and we don't want any spam, fraud attempts etc. reach you as little as we want the same for them.

A: Does the plugin contain ant Spyware, Adware, or Virus? Absolutely not! If you don't take our word for it, feel free to download the Source Code, compile and cross check the binaries.

A: Is there a way I can use Ginza Walk without installing the plugin? Yes! Right click on »This Ginza Walk Link« and choose "Add to Favorites" or "Bookmark This Link"

Then, whenever you wish to share a page, simply click the newly added Ginza Walk bookmark.

A: How does it work? Please see our Technical White Paper.

A: Does it work on all sites? For now, there are a couple of known limitations.

• Flash content is not synchronized
• Sites with heavy usage of AJAX and DHTML might not work

A: How is Ginza Walk different from VNC, Co-pilot, and other desktop sharing solutions?

• It's a lot safer since you're only sharing the current web browser page if turned on, as opposed to your whole computer including all your applications and your hard drive.
• There is no need to download or install any file if you don't wish to install the plugin. The friend you're sharing your page with, doesn't need to download or install any file whatsoever.
